The Story Behind the Project
What began as a call to write a Christian Hip Hop album to reach the younger generation for Christ, and whomever else the Holy Spirit chose to reach, became something more than Eddie ever expected.
When Eddie answered God’s call to write these songs, he believed he was simply doing just that, writing songs. What he didn’t realize was that God was going to use chapters of his life to shape these songs and show him that He had been there all along.
As each song was written, a larger story began to emerge. The songs were connected by something deeper than melody or lyrics. They were chapters of a testimony God was revealing one song at a time. By the time Eddie reached the sixth track of the album, a realization began to take shape. God wasn’t simply helping him write songs. He was showing him how He had been present through every season, every struggle, every setback, every victory, and every turning point.
By the time the final track was written, Eddie wasn’t holding ten completed songs. He was holding the testimony God had revealed through an act of obedience. Through the process came reflection, healing, tears, joy, and a growing sense of responsibility to share the story behind the songs.
Why My Story. His Glory.
The songs became more than music. They became a window into a life shaped by both brokenness and redemption, held together by God’s amazing grace.
As the album was completed, Eddie felt called to tell the deeper story behind the lyrics. That calling led to the memoir, My Story. His Glory., which takes readers beyond the songs and into the experiences, lessons, failures, victories, and moments of grace that inspired them.
The purpose, however, was never simply to tell Eddie’s story. The goal was to help others recognize God’s handprints on their own lives. The title My Story. His Glory. reflects that belief. While the story is personal, the glory belongs to God.
More Than an Album
The memoir provided readers with a deeper look into what God was revealing as the songs were being written and the testimony was being uncovered. As that story continued to unfold, God expanded the project even further.
The next step became a 31-Day Devotional built around the lessons, Scriptures, discoveries, and moments of growth that emerged from the journey. Later, those lessons continued to grow into 365 Days of Inspirational Thoughts from a Redeemed Life, a collection of daily discoveries, changed perspectives, personal realizations, and reminders of God’s faithfulness.
Each resource grew naturally from the one before it. The songs revealed the testimony. The testimony became the memoir. The memoir inspired the devotional. The devotional became daily inspiration. Together they form a growing body of work built around one central truth: God was present in every chapter, even when it wasn’t obvious at the time.
The Journey Continues
What started as a call to write a Christian Hip Hop album continues to grow through music, publishing, writing, speaking, and future creative endeavors. The songs opened the door. The testimony revealed the story. And the story continues to unfold.
